With summer around the corner it feels like a good time to talk about dried flowers.  There are so many wonderful flowers you can dry, make into floral arrangements, wreaths, or just hang in any room for an out-door feel.  Once your flowers dry and are arranged you will find they will keep for much longer than your fresh.  Little bouquets can be made and given with a gift adding that special  personal touch or try a  bouquet at a place setting for weddings, showers, and parties.   So give it a try, experiment and see the wonderful results.  6/10/2010

Lemonade with lavender? I use lavender in my closet, between the linens to give them a pretty scent.  But  now I know that lemons and lavender not only look beautiful together but also taste great as well.  They make a wonderful, fresh summer drink…..for warm days when you sit in a shady place in your garden.

Lavender Lemonade

Boil 3 tablespoons lavender in 2 cups water.

Cool and pour water through a strainer.

Add lavender water to 1 quart lemonade.

Garnish with a lemon slice and fresh lavender blossoms.Enjoy!!
